Hi, I'm new to these boards and I had a question for you fellow MBD fans.

I've got a copy of their debut cd (Like the Exorcist..) but it's printed under the bands original name of Little Joe Gould instead of MBD. It looks the same I figure this is a pretty rare thing since it's the original band name, but I don't know much about the rarity of this stuff at all.

My question is, is this thing pretty rare/valuable?
I don't really plan on selling it I don't think but was just interested to know what I've got here.

i've never seen a real copy of this surface so yeah, i'd say it's pretty rare but i don't know the pressing info, maybe someone from the band would?

Wow, that's really interesting to hear! :) If anybody could shed any more light on this or point me in the direction of some more info I would appreciate it.

yes it exists, as you have likely seen, most ebay lisitng of this album show the artwork for the little joe gould pressing. I have made inquiry with a number of sellers that have advertised it as little joe gould and have have confirmed that it is the album with the resul being me sending it back because they lied. it was printed around the same time that they changed their name and about the time that the matt davis album was released. This is the only album of thiers that I am missing and would love to get my hands on a copy. I would say yes it is rare but even more so because many people don't realize the difference. let me know if you would ever be interested in parting with this album!

That album was pressed at least 2Xs (if not more), the first quite a bit before the Matt Davis 7" If I recall correctly. You haven't mentioned any numbering on the disc so Its probably not one of the original pressings. The very first pressing was limited to 100 and are labeled as such. I don't believe there is really a DIFFERENCE in the releases just the labels are different.
